I was looking at how to wear yellow tights after seeing some horrendous combinations where I live and came upon your website. I’m not Parisian, but have always admired their style. You have no idea how happy I am to finally find a website completely dedicated to this type of fashion! You say Merci for subscribing, but really it is I who should be thanking you for blogging.

I just found your blog while looking for style inspiration and absolutely love it. It’s like going shopping with your best friend. 🙂

    Bonjour Aloïs,
I am happy to have discovered your blog from an article that I read about you – ‘In Search of Chic: Fashion Shopping in Paris’. I love Paris, fashion, … and your name! I always look forward to my trips to Paris. Perhaps, I will schedule an appointment with you during a future trip to Paris. In the meantime, I look forward to enjoying your blog!

    Merci,
    Aulois

    Hi, Aloïs!

Thank you for sharing wonderful advice in your blog! I am not Parisian by any stretch of the imagination, but for what it’s worth I have been told that I « dress like a French girl. » I am not sure what that means, but my taste does seem to be similar to what you describe in your blog posts. I credit my many years in dance class for my love of texture and color combined with chic, clean lines. Speaking of dance, I’m a teacher. This causes problems for me because I also look young, and need to look professional, but appropriate. I often get dressed in a hurry, and only step out for a short time in my « street clothes. » I spend a lot of my time in stretch pants. Basically, I would like to look polished in my daily life. If it helps for you to know this, I am 5’10 inches tall and my legs are nearly 4 feet long. I am xs on top, s on bottom…shaped kind of like a bottle :-). Do you have any relevant ideas for me or for other active women?

Je viens de découvrir votre blog! D’excellentes idées y sont partagées.
Étant québécoise j’ai souvent envié les parisiennes qui ont beaucoup,
    mais beaucoup de style. Merci

I’m happy to have come across your website, and will be looking forward to following your blog posts. I’ve always been a huge fan of everything French, including the fashion. And I love the pret-a-porter brands like Cop Copine, Sunlight, Double Jeu, and I’m always on the lookout for all the new ones. I’m wondering if you could write a blog about these and similar brands and labels. Thanks in advance.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Alois distance services and outfit creation. I live in New York and was unable to meet Aloïs in person but we set up an stylist coach appointment online using skype. She critiqued my wardrobe, made a multitude of different outfits using only the few items I had in my closet that I was never wearing and accessorized them perfectly. I explained that I was on a very tight budget, so she choose pieces of clothes to spice up my already existing wardrobe at economical prices and made my style go from boring to tres tres chic. I can not even tell you how many compliments I get a day wearing her new outfit creations. It is honestly one of the most economical things I have done in years because our clothes should go by cost per wear and I had 80 percent of my closet just sitting there that I am now using in new stylish and contemporary ways.
Her outfit creation and ideas were supported with fashion literature, research, fashion icons and articles. Her expertise left nothing to be desired.
